Tango asked Jon Kasdan, Director of In The Land of Women to share his views on 5 Things Women Don’t Know About Men (But Should!) .

Here is what he had to tell us.

1) There’s One Question We Want to Ask You, But Won’t.

“I can tell you from personal experience, the first thing a guy wants to ask a girl, but never does because he thinks it will give her the wrong impression, is: Do you eat meat? And I don’t mean that in any sexual way. It’s just that if you’re dating a strict vegetarian, that’s a certain amount of work you’ll have to embrace. So I tend to call back after the date has gone well, and say, ‘excuse me, do you eat meat?’ I’ve gotten mixed reviews doing that. But before any vegetarians get mad, I want everyone to know the girl I’ve been seeing is vegan, and while it’s been a source of some drama, we’re working through it.”

2) We Need Equal Time in the Bathroom.

“Really. It’s not just women who need that. I need some time to do my thing: brush my teeth, wash my face. Occasionally I’m putting on a green mint julep mud mask, but I tend to do that with the door closed. Women think we’re just busy reading in there, but I, for one, am really working, not just lounging around.”

3) We Require Encouragement (in Bed.)

“You know guys tend to be very insecure… especially sexually. They’re very attuned to how desired they are. Certainly when we feel a lack of desire from a woman, even it’s for totally natural reasons, such as, a woman is not always in the mood for sex, well, we tend to overreact. We worry about our masculinity. We’re not as easygoing as you might imagine.”

4) We Notice What You’re Wearing.

“This is something Adam [Brody] and I have been talking about a great deal lately. He and I are people who really admire a woman who has taste in clothes. Adam has a far more sophisticated, um, style thing than I do. He can pull off a three piece suit and an ascot, but we’re both very attuned to how a woman is dressed, and we’re not just looking for a short skirt. Rather, we value style and artistry. We’re looking for someone with creativity and class. I tend to appreciate people with a little more modesty, who are more playful with their sexuality. My heart flutters when I see a girl in jeans, Converse and a t-shirt. That’s the sexiest thing in the world.”

5) We Heart Our Moms.

“That’s hard-core: There’s a special bond between a boy and his mom, and you don’t want to come between those two things.” ‘Nuff said.
